In an unsavory memory in Chapter 4 of Crazy Rich Asians, Astrid recalls an incident involving profiteroles in Paris, France, in relation to her cousin Eddy and a stripper. I had never heard of a profitrole before, but it is apparently quite popular. A profitrole is a hollow pastry, often filled with cream and topped with chocolate.
